Comhrá (‘conversation’ in the Irish language) allows students of second level schools to participate in question and answer sessions with judges of the Supreme Court of Ireland from anywhere in Ireland via video call. Launched in 2019, the programme is a collaboration between the judges of the Supreme Court, the Courts Service and the National Association of Principals and Deputy Principals (‘NAPD’).
The programme provides students with an opportunity to ask judges questions about their work, the role of the Supreme Court and the Irish courts system in our democracy, allowing them to gain a better insight and understanding of the function of the Supreme Court and promote an interest in the law.
