Find below the procedure for applying for an access card for the Four Courts Complex. There are two categories of application:

Applications where no payment required: 

You can either attach a passport sized photograph when returning your completed application by post, or you can email your completed application & photograph (must be JPEG format) to emuhelpdesk@courts.ie. Once all the required documents are received, your application will be processed within three working days. You must present ID when collecting your access card in person from Phoenix House, 15/24 Phoenix Street North, Smithfield, Dublin 7. Access cards can only be given to card holders and will not be put in the post. In the event that you do not attach a photograph, we will hold your application form on file until a photograph is received. 

Applications where payment is required:   

You can either attach a passport sized photograph and return with your application and payment of the required fee of € 20.00 (cheque, postal order or bank draft) by post to : Courts Service, Estate Management Unit, 5th Floor, 15/24 Phoenix Street North, Smithfield, Dublin 7, or you can email your photograph (must be JPEG format) to emuhelpdesk@courts.ie. Once all the required documents are received, the application will be processed within 3 working days and the replacement card will be ready for collection by the applicant from the Main Entrance, Phoenix House, 15-24 Phoenix Street North, Dublin 7 between 9:30am - 4:30pm / Monday – Friday. Please bring official photographic identification with you (Drivers Licence, Public Service Card, Passport) to the front desk to collect your card from the service officers. Please note Access Cards will not be issued if photographic I.D is not provided.
