Further to President Ryan’s direction of 27 January 2021, the two weeks of civil sittings listed for the period 1- 12 February 2021 are adjourned to the Callover in March 2021 subject to the following provision for urgent matters:
Parties can apply, on notice to the other parties, to Judge O’ Malley Costello each Tuesday seeking the Judge’s permission to hear cases which had been scheduled to be heard during these two weeks. Where the Judge deems a case urgent, arrangements for the hearing will be made to occur within these two weeks. Such hearings will be conducted remotely where possible. Parties can also apply to the Judge to rule settlements and infant settlements each Tuesday, on notice to the other party.
Judge O’Malley Costello will hold a virtual court every Tuesday in Trim Courthouse at 10.30am to hear such applications during the period 1 February – 12 February 2021.
Judge O’Malley Costello will be available during this two- week period for dealing with all other urgent applications of a criminal, family, civil and insolvency nature and such applications can also be made to the Judge at the Tuesday morning virtual courts. In addition, Family Law matters may be listed for hearing remotely during these two weeks at the parties’ request. All such applications to be made to the Judge each Tuesday.
Where necessary, Judge O’Malley Costello will be available to conduct courts in person in Trim Courthouse.
Lay Litigants in civil cases listed during this two-week period are advised to email trimcourtoffice@courts.ie if they have an urgent matter. Arrangements for a hearing can be made where the Judge deems the matter urgent.
Personal Insolvency hearings will continue to be heard remotely.

The Civil callover will occur via email on Monday 8 March 2021 and the Family callover will occur via email on Friday 12 March 2021. The Possession callover will occur via email on 8 March 2021. Priority will be given to the cases that were listed in January and February 2021 where possible.
Meath County Registrar Courts – February courts 2021
The virtual Family court on 5 February will proceed where there are solicitors for all parties in each case. Family Motions involving lay litigants scheduled for the February court are adjourned to the 5 March court and will be reviewed further at the end of February.
The Civil motions court will proceed virtually on 8 February where there are solicitors for all parties in each case. Civil Motions involving lay litigants scheduled for the February court are adjourned to 15 March court and will be reviewed further at the end of February.
The Possessions court on 22 February 2021 is adjourned to 21 May 2021.
Consent applications/ adjournments can continue to be received by email and be ruled at court.
Taxations, marriage exemptions, care rep applications and ground rents will continue via virtual courts.
