Attending court and staying on track

Court is held weekly at Green Street Courthouse in Dublin 7. During the early stages of the programme, you must attend court every week.

What to expect in court

  • You’ll speak directly to the judge.
  • The judge will review your progress.
  • You may be given rewards or sanctions based on how you're doing.

If you can’t attend court

  • Contact your case manager as soon as possible.
  • If you miss court without a good reason, a bench warrant may be issued.

How to speak in court

  • Be respectful and wait your turn.
  • Call the judge "Judge."
  • Don’t interrupt anyone else.

Staying on the programme

To stay on the programme, you must:

  • Attend court, treatment, and education sessions regularly
  • Stay drug-free
  • Treat all staff and participants with respect

If you break the rules, you may:

  • Lose points
  • Have to repeat a phase
  • Be removed from the programme

If you're sick, contact your case manager. You may need to provide a doctor’s note. You can work or study while on the programme, if the team approves.
