You do not need to make an appointment for any Domestic Violence matter. This is a walk-in service. Visit our Domestic Violence webpage for more information.
For other urgent matters, or matters not listed above, you can email carrickonshannoncourtoffice@courts.ie to make an appointment or attend the office.
If you wish to discuss an ongoing matter, please bring the following:
- Your Case Reference number
- A valid form of photo ID, such as passport or driving licence

Regardless of the nature of the appointment court staff are not legally trained and cannot provide any legal advice. You may wish to talk to a solicitor before making your application. A solicitor can provide legal advice, discuss the options available and complete the forms on your behalf. A solicitor can also manage your case and represent you in court.
