Issue of High Court orders by email

The attention of practitioners is directed to the provisions of S.I. 492 of 2014 (hereinafter referred to as the Fees Order).

Schedule 1, Part 1 of the Fees Order provides for the payment of fees on copy documents. This provision therefore applies to High Court Orders issued in hard copy from the Central Office.

It may be of benefit to practitioners to be aware that the Central Office of the High Court operates a system whereby solicitors may request a copy order by email. A plain copy order sent by email is sufficient for most purposes, save for the purpose of appeal and lodging with the Companies Registration Office.

Therefore, an email from a solicitor stating that the firm is on record for a party and reciting the date of the order, date of perfection and the record number of the case is sufficient for the purpose of obtaining an order by this means.

There is no fee applicable to this service.

Orders may be requested by emailing HighCourtBespeaks@courts.ie
