Order under Section 10(12) of the Courts of Justice Act 1947

I, Raymond Groarke, President of the Circuit Court, pursuant to section 10(12) of the Courts of Justice Act 1947, having consulted with the specialist judges assigned to the Dublin circuit of the Circuit Court, hereby direct as follows:

1. Motions in that circuit for any order which may be made under section 34(1) of, and the Second Schedule to, the Courts and Court Officers Act 1995 shall, with the exception of motions referred to in paragraph 2, be returnable before the specialist judges sitting at 10.00 a.m. and not before the county registrar.

2. Motions in that circuit in family law proceedings for any order which may in such proceedings be made under section 34(1) of, and the Second Schedule to, the Courts and Court Officers Act 1995 shall be returnable before the county registrar and not before the specialist judges.

3. This Order shall come into operation with immediate effect.

4. This Order shall be published on the Courts Service website.

Order under section 10(9) of the Courts of Justice Act 1947

I, Raymond Groarke, President of the Circuit Court, pursuant to section 10(9) of the Courts of Justice Act 1947, hereby fix, in respect of the Circuit Court, the places at which sittings before the specialist judges of the Circuit Court assigned to the circuits detailed hereunder shall be held and the times and hours between which such sittings shall take place.

1. The sittings shall take place as follows:

Circuit

Places of sitting

Dublin Circuit of the Circuit Court

Four Courts and/or Aras Ui Dhalaigh, Dublin 7

Cork Circuit of the Circuit Court

Courthouse, Washington Street, Cork

Northern Circuit of the Circuit Court

Courthouse, Monaghan

Western Circuit of the Circuit Court

Courthouse, Castlebar, Co Mayo

Eastern Circuit of the Circuit Court

Courthouse, Trim, Co. Meath

Midland Circuit of the Circuit Court

Courthouse, Tullamore, Co Offaly

South Western Circuit of the Circuit Court

Courthouse, Ennis, Co Clare

South Eastern Circuit of the Circuit Court

Courthouse, Kilkenny, Co Kilkenny

 

2. The sittings shall take place between the hours of 10.30 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on Monday to Friday in each week with the exception of public holidays and with the following further exceptions;

(a) The period of six consecutive days commencing on the Thursday before Easter Day in each year

(b) The period of nine consecutive days commencing on the 23rd day of December in each year.

3. This order shall operate with immediate effect and shall remain in force until further order.

4. This order shall be published as soon as possible on www.courts.ie
