Courts Service website wins eGovernment award

The Courts Service website was the winner in the Best State Body category of the eGovernment awards 2008.

The winners were announced by Mr. John Bowman of RTE at an event in Dublin attended by the Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources, Mr. Eamonn Ryan T.D.

The award is a welcome acknowledgement of the efforts of the Service to better inform the public about the workings of the court system in Ireland.

Chief Executive Officer, P.J. Fitzpatrick said that it was "a tribute to the hard work and dedication to high standards of our Website Development Team and those who support them both internally and externally. As a result of their efforts users of the courts have comprehensive information on the courts and can access a range of online services".
